The VMRC Quality Assurance Team strives to improve the lives of individuals by ensuring quality services, protecting health and safety, and respecting choices by upholding consumer rights. This is accomplished by making certain that vendored environments are fundamentally-based on the provision of dignity of the person, respect and privacy of those served, and which optimizes individual autonomy and choice, community engagement, and control over one’s resources, schedules, and activities.
The QA Department routinely evaluates, supports, fortifies, assists and monitors vendored environments for compliance with regulatory and best practice standards. We are committed to working collaboratively and informally with providers by offering “technical assistance” and consultation as needed, and facilitating the formal corrective action process when necessary. This is achieved through educational efforts and visits to all facilities.
