This year’s theme “Establishing the Link: Assessment and Intervention of Children and Adults” is a unique opportunity for behavioral health professionals in the community to convene with peers and experts in the field to exchange ideas and explore solutions. This conference has been designed to begin a discussion about the challenges in conducting assessments and providing meaningful clinical interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with suspected co-occurring mental health disorders and developmental disability.

• Learn how to establish a framework using both the DSM 5 and the DM – ID 2 as a practical and functional guide to aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders within the developmentally disabled population.
• Discover innovations in the treatment of mental health disorders that includes depression, anxiety and other trauma focused disorders using modified CBT and DBT interventions.
• Network with other mental health providers practicing within the Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Tuolumne, Amador and Calaveras county area.

This collaboration between Valley Mountain Regional Center and Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services provides an opportunity to jointly explore best practices and innovations in serving people with co-occurring behavioral health and developmental disabilities.  This VMRC-BHRS project is funded by Mental Health Services Act in partnership with the California Department of Mental Health and Department of Developmental Services.
