School Age (6 through 16 years)
Supporting Learning, Growth, and Independence
Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC) partners with families to support children and youth with developmental disabilities or delays from school-age through young adulthood. Our goal is to help each child thrive at home, school, and in the community by providing individualized support that promotes education, social development, and life skills, as determined by the planning team.
For school-age children, the planning team includes the child’s parents or guardians, the VMRC Service Coordinator, and other individuals chosen by the family—such as teachers, therapists, or family advocates. Together, the team develops a plan that promotes inclusion, learning, and skill development while supporting family priorities.
